The Downstream Division of Todd Corporation consists of four entities; Nova Energy, megaTel, Sunergise and Todd Generation. We have office locations in Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga, Whakatane, New Plymouth and Christchurch.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing energy trading team in Wellington. Working across electricity and gas markets, you will be involved in all aspects of trading, including spot market analysis, trade execution, optimisation modelling, invoicing, and risk management reporting. This role requires an adaptable person who can operate equally well both within a team and autonomously.
We are looking for an individual with analytical problem-solving capabilities utilising Excel, as well as, a professional with a natural ‘people-to-people’ communication skill set. In this highly interactive, fast-paced role you will be expected to quickly transition between duties such as real time market trading, analysing historical data in an Excel spreadsheet to client facing and engaging stakeholders. You will embrace a dynamic environment where you are called upon to react quickly with your critical thinking skills.
This opportunity could be suitable for someone with some existing trading experience, or this could be the first time you have considered a trading role; therefore, you will most likely have a numerical background, a genuine interest in markets and an enthusiastic personality that will lend itself naturally to this energetic environment.
Key attributes you will bring include a numerical based tertiary degree, experience in analysing and reporting on data and a familiarity with risk management processes.
