How do I set up a direct debit?

You can set up your direct debit authority to pay the full amount due each month, quickly and securely online by clicking the button below.

Set up your direct debit

To set up your direct debit authority online you will need to have your email address (a confirmation email will be sent to this address) and date of birth registered with Nova. You will also need your Nova customer number and your New Zealand bank account details handy.

Please allow 5 days before your bill is due to get your direct debit set up.

Printed form

If you would like to pay your account by Fixed Direct Debit (fixed amount payable weekly/fortnightly) or just prefer to use a printed form, you can download one here.

For a bank direct debit, you can email the completed form to info@novaenergy.co.nz or post it but for a credit card direct debit, applications need to be returned by post not via email.

Using the printed form please allow 10 days before your bill is due to get your direct debit set up.

Direct Debit notice period

Customers on monthly billing cycles will normally receive a notice 10 days in advance of a direct debit payment transaction.
