‘’First, there is always more to learn. The education I’ve soaked up on the job at Nova is unparalleled to anything I could experience at uni. I’ve been studying for the past three years, and I love that there’s still much more to learn. As a new graduate, I think it’s important to realise that your contribution matters, and my workmates at Nova always reminded me of this. I’ve come to understand that a beautiful blend of diverse strengths, perspectives, and skills makes a great team, and I realise that I can be a part of that. Finally, Nova has taught me to keep saying ‘yes’ and that leaving university doesn’t have to be scary. I’ve met great people and widened my horizons and skills by saying ‘yes’ to this internship and all the opportunities that Nova’s offered me.’’ Rosa Kent, Marketing Intern 2022/ 23

‘’I worked at Nova as a summer Intern in 2022. The company had a very open, welcoming culture which helped me settle in, and they hosted a variety of social events to chat with and get to know other team members and management. They were very knowledgeable and happy to pass on their expertise. It felt like my experiences were being shaped around my areas of interest and knowledge, as well as providing opportunities to explore unknown areas. I learned a lot about the electrical systems and how they permeate natural spaces, running up the country to connect centres of supply and demand.’’ Dean Banks, Engineering Intern 2022 / 23

Here are updates from our current Graduates...

Following successful summer internships, Nova’s inaugural Graduate Programme has launched, with Emma Comeskey and Arshdeep Singh joining the Nova team as the Marketing & Commercial and Strategy graduates, respectively.

With a BSC from Auckland University in Data Science, and a keen interest in sustainability the changing dynamics of the energy industry made the Commercial & Strategy grad role an ideal choice for Arshdeep.

“The warm team atmosphere has already made me feel at home, and I'm enjoying every second of it” says Arshdeep “It has been thrilling to see my studies being put into practice while also enjoying the support of my wonderful mentor, Edmund.”

A recent graduate from Victoria University with a double major in Marketing and Management, Emma applied for the role to gain experience in all types of marketing. “I was really eager to apply for the graduate role at Nova Energy. The role promoted lots of support, which is important being a new grad stating out in the workforce for the first time".

“I am constantly learning new things in this role, and am lucky to be getting exposure to various marketing gigs as a grad” says Emma. “I feel so welcomed at Nova, everyone here is lovely”.

The two-year programme offers graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field, and is great for Nova too – by providing a diverse and skilled workforce.
